How much does self storage cost?

According to the Self Storage industry regulator (the Federation of European Self Storage Associations), the average cost of renting self storage space in Germany in 2022 was €289 per year per square metre: that's around €5.50 per week per square metre.  
 

The price of self storage depends on a few factors:

1. The location of the storage facility –  the location of the storage facility will be reflected in the prices you pay for storage. Like most things, the closer you are to city centres the more things cost.  This is the same with self storage.
2. The size of the unit - Storage facilities will have different size units available to rent, ranging in size from small lockers to large warehouse-type spaces. We have handy storage size guides that you can use to work out how much self storage space you’ll need for whatever you plan to store. Alternatively, we have a helpful, experienced team who can offer advice by phone, in-store or online during opening hours. 
3. The length of stay – Generally, the longer the length of stay, the lower the price of the self storage unit, as storage facilities offer discounts and promotions for long-term rentals. Short-term rentals, on the other hand, tend to be more expensive due to the higher demand and limited availability.
4. Level of insurance required – Everyone who stays with us must have insurance to cover the replacement value of their goods for the duration of their stay with us. The insurance cost cannot be included in your overall price because it depends on the value of the goods you plan to store with us. Alternatively, you may arrange your own cover and provide us with details when you move in.
